  18. How (or even if) you can do this is very much dependent on the particular
  19. computer and operating system you are using, so you should ask the question in
  20. a newsgroup dedicated to your system.  The C language has no provision to find
  21. this info.  Any such procedure will be dependent on the system, and fairly
  22. independent of language.
